How proud we are of all our athletes, on what world stage should our little islands sportsmen and women out perform and outshine super nations like China, Russia and Germany. We shouldn’t but we so did.
This collective performance just goes to show that we are a nation of dedicated, determined and focused individuals. Proud to be British, proud to perform and so proud of our achievements.
Paying specific attention to cycling our dominance was clear both on road and track with a medal haul of epic proportion. I hope one day in the not too distant future we have more athletes who were inspired by these games and our wonderful sport and they go on to achieve the same rewards, maybe one of you will be riding a Paragon Bike.
These few weeks are the pinnacle of a lifetimes hard work for each and every one of our sports stars. If you achieved a medal fantastic and well done, if you missed out continue to believe and yours will be realised over the coming years.
We can’t wait for 2020
Now we settle down and look forward to tomorrow as we support our Paralympians. Let’s see if we can match last months success over the next 10 days.
September 7th to the 18th our little, proud, amazing nation goes into battle once again.
Good luck Team GB, as a nation we thank you.
