Scunthorpe’s newest cycle company expands into new premises on the Queensway Industrial Estate.
The continued passion for cycling both locally and nationally has meant that in 2 short years Paragon Cycles has gone from strength to strength, quickly out growing their shared premises. The business has recently moved into a new unit with improved showroom, manufacturing facilities and car-parking.
At face value the company is like any other local bike shop providing sales, professional service and repairs of multiple brands. Dig deeper under the skin however and it is much more than that. The company produces unique custom bikes designed specifically for each customer, choose your frameset, the colours, names and the component kit, offer them a design brief and they will produce a digital representation which will be completely unique to each customer. Once the design is agreed your bespoke bike is hand painted and hand built to your requirements.
Paragon Cycles also assemble and distribute international brand MASSI with a few more to follow as they move into Electric bikes.
Attention to detail and customer service are the foundations of the business and you will only deal with the owner from enquiry through to delivery offering the personal attention befitting of this unique product.
Owner Dave Heath-Drury said: “Our new showroom is much nicer and has a bigger range of bikes on display including the addition of our tricycles. The new paint booth and colour mixing facility gives us the flexibility to mix over 15,000 different colours in house at the push of a button. With my 30 year background in manufacturing it’s great to produce bikes locally again in an area which has so much cycle production history. We are proud to continue the tradition of Made in Great Britain here in Lincolnshire”.
Working nationally and locally Paragon have lots of different projects in the pipeline from team bikes to hire fleets. The ability to deliver their own UK made bikes fully assembled and using their own transport is a big positive for customers. Their bikes are ready to ride as they come out of the giant padded cycle delivery bag.
Dave was keen to ensure that whilst offering such a bespoke service, his business also caters for everyone from children, enthusiasts, competition, disability, commuters and the elderly.
Paragon is the bespoke customer brand which offers the ultimate in exclusivity and the business ranges products to suit all budgets from £100 to £15000 With free insurance, free first service and free lifetime safety check they have you covered.
They are a real friendly bunch and nothing seems too much trouble so don’t be put off by the expensive boutique feel of the shop, if are looking for a new bike pop along for a chat and a coffee and take a look.
